The 2009 Gold Coast ITU Triathlon World Championships will now incorporate the Dextro Energy Triathlon – ITU World Championship Grand Final where the world’s top athletes compete head-to-head in this new 8 race series from May to September.
The Grand Final will see $US250,000 Prize Money awarded, along with an additional bonus pool of $US700,000, the largest triathlon prize pool ever awarded in Australian triathlon history! |

A warm up for the Gold Coast ITU Triathlon World Championships! WIN your race entry and accommodation
Now in its 11th year the Airlie Beach Triathlon will again take center stage in the Airlie Beach Festival of Sport on August 29-30, Australia. The event has grown from humble beginnings in 1998 into North Queensland’s premier Sprint Distance race drawing elite and age group athletes from the length of the East Coast.
This year the timing couldn’t be better for competitors in the 2009 ITU Triathlon World Championships on the Gold Coast in September, to jump on a plane to the beautiful Whitsunday Coast to put the final touches on their race preparation in one of the countries iconic destinations. Many have already noticed the serendipity of such a desirable race at just the right time in just the right place and have been on the phone to the travel agent.

- Free race entry and accommodation for the 11th annual Airlie Beach Triathlon, Australia, on Sunday 30th August 2009.
