We have joined forces with our good friends at Triumph to present this year’s breakfast at the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa on Friday 11 September and partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation as our official charity. The morning will include some of Australia’s most sought after guest speakers in business and health. The theme of the breakfast, to inspire you to pursue your dreams and passions no matter the direction or scale, along with the benefits of leading a healthy/active lifestyle. The first of three key note speakers we can confirm is Australia’s most successful self-published low-fat cookbook author and leading weight loss and healthy lifestyle expert, Annette Sym. With no tertiary education or previous business experience, she has turned the triumph over her own weight loss and health struggles into a multi-million dollar business and to date has sold in excess of 2.5 million self-published cookbooks. Annette’s cookbooks, ‘Symply Too Good To Be True’, are full of delicious, guilt-free family favourite recipes and have been the No. 1 low-fat choice in Australia over the past 11 years. In addition to our speakers the morning will also include silent auctions, fashion parades, raffles and appearances by high profile celebrities. With three rounds of the Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championship Series now complete the Australian pair, Emma Snowsill and Emma Moffatt have finished in a one/two combination in the two races they have contested. Snowsill claimed the first race in Korea where Moffatt was unable to keep pace with her training partner in the later stages of the run. The pair then skipped race two in Madrid, returning to Australia to complete another big training block. In Washington DC Moffatt turned the tables to runaway with victory from Snowsill by 25 seconds. The following week the ITU circuit moved across the USA from Washington, DC to Des Moines, Iowa for the Hy-Vee Triathlon Elite Cup and Triathlon Team World Championships. Moffett claimed her second victory within a week along with a healthy prize cheque of USD$200,000. Despite receiving some unwanted attention in the swim and missing the lead group Snowsill ran through the field to finish second, showing what a class act and talent she is picking up USD$50,000 for her efforts. The Australian men have also competed well. Brad Kahlefeldt has been the best finishing second in Korea and then again in Des Moine, both agonizingly close sprint finishes. Courtney Atkinson finished second in Madrid.

The Triumph Women’s Breakfast is a long held tradition at each Triathlon World Championship and as one of the few non-sporting events on the program greatly anticipated. 
Tickets are now on sale for the Say G’Day Party and Great Aussie BBQ. Athletes competing in the Olympic, Sprint and Teams ITU Triathlon World Championships receive complimentary entry, meal and 2 drinks as part of their entry fee, but why should just the athletes have all the fun?!
