Visitors entering Australia need a valid passport and the appropriate visa. The visa category to attend the ITU Triathlon World Championships is a Subclass 421 Sports Visa*.
This visa is for professional and amateur sportspeople, judges and adjudicators who want to come to Australia to participate in their field of sport.
With this visa you can:
- Participate in high-level competition or training in Australia
- Compete against Australian residents
- Stay in Australia for as long as your visa is valid
- Bring eligible family members with you

Getting Around during the Event – Shuttle Buses
USM EVENTS are providing a user pay bus service to transport athletes, coaches, team staff, friends and family during peak times across the Gold Coast ITU Triathlon World Championships. The bus will service from the Event Precinct, Southport Broadwater Parklands south to Main Beach and Surfers Paradise. Limited bus stops will ensure an efficient 30 minute loop. A Regular Day Service departing approximately every 30 minutes will be provided from 10am – 3pm. Additional Special Services will be incorporated for early morning & evening shifts.

Regular Day Service: $10.00 AUD per day (Unlimited Travel)
Special Services: An additional $2.00 AUD per service with the purchase of a Regular Day Service Ticket
