ITU Aquathlon World Championships

Combining only the swim and run legs of a triathlon, the Aquathlon is accessible to all members of a national triathlon federation. Kicking off the event program and a championship in itself, athletes will also use this as a warm up event for their triathlon events later in the festival program.

Qualification Criteria:

As per ITU Guidelines as at 2nd September 2008.
Subject to Change – please refer to the ITU Website www.triathlon.org for current rules. 

Exception to Qualification Criteria: There are no Qualification Criteria for the ITU Age Group Aquathlon World Championships. Competitors can enter the event direct not via National Federation but must be members of their national federation and show proof of this at registration.

No late entries will be accepted as the field is full.

Elite, Under 23, Junior
Entry via National Federation. For all Junior, Under 23, and Elite athletes, the National Federations should follow the standard ITU policies and procedures on the ITU Online Entry System.

Age Group
Competitors must be members of their national federation and show proof of this at registration.
